FINDLEY LAKE – In honor of National Military Appreciation Week, the Chautauqua Regional Economic Development Corporation has announced a special promotion for former and active military members and first responders planning to attend the 2016 LECOM Health Challenge Web.com Tour event at Peek’n Peak Resort the week of July 4-10
On Thursday, July 7, former and active members of the military and active first responders – and their spouses – will receive free admission to the tournament and passes to the Merit Industries Military and First Responders Appreciation Tent overlooking the 18th fairway.
“From supporting the U.S. armed forces by manufacturing and supplying products used to protect and defend the freedoms of U.S. citizens, to now offering a VIP experience to our countries greatest – we are proud to support military members and first responders at this year’s LECOM Health Challenge,” said Merit Industries President Rob Churchill.
The Merit Industries Military Appreciation tent, courtesy of Erie, Pennsylvania-based Merit Industries, will include complimentary food and beverage service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Knowing Western New Yorkers deep-rooted connections to the military and area first responders, we saw this as an opportunity to give back to a community that has sacrificed so much to protect the safety of not only Western New York but our entire nation,” said tournament spokesperson and CEO of the Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation Kevin Sanvidge.
A valid government-issued ID is required for all attendees, and the offer for military members extends to the following groups:
All U.S. Military Active Duty (Reserve/National Guard)
All U.S. Military Retired (Reserve/National Guard)
All U.S. Military Veterans with a VA Identification Card
